RANGEELA DANCE COMPANY
Welcome to Rangeela Dance Company
Rangeela Dance Company (RDC) is one of the nation’s leading South Asian dance companies, founded in 2016 by Priyanka Jain Vora, a trained classical Indian dancer and Bollywood dance choreographer.
RDC is based in Seattle and Los Angeles, but provides dances services globally. Our mission is to cultivate a community that celebrates and shares South Asian culture through the form of Indian dance. We were the first full-service Bollywood dance company to exist in Seattle and have been recognized by prestigious platforms such as the Smithsonian Institute.
Rangeela’s vision is to make dance accessible to all individuals through group and private dance classes for kids and adults, performing & visual arts for special events, and private choreography services. Our talented group of instructors and dancers have professional expertise in a variety of styles ranging from Bollywood, Bhangra, Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Kuthu Hop, Semi-Classical, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Garba, and more.

Priyanka is Rangeela’s founder & director. She is a Bollywood fusion dance choreographer, originally from Boston, MA where she trained classically in Bharatnatyam and completed the prestigious dance graduation, Arangetram, at age 16. Priyanka developed a passion not only for classical Indian dance, but also for Bollywood, Semi-Classical, Folk, Garba, Modern dance and wedding/special events choreography. She was captain of her competitive South Asian Fusion dance team in college where she organized and choreographed several dance charity showcases and judged national dance competitions. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy (Board-Certified Specialist in Pelvic & Women’s Health) and certified group fitness instructor, Priyanka promotes preventative health, wellness and the arts in the community. After moving to Seattle in 2016, she founded Rangeela Dance Company to continue her passion for dancing, teaching, choreographing and performing with the aim of spreading awareness about the vibrant Indian culture. Priyanka loves traveling the Pacific Northwest and Europe with her husband, cooking vegetarian food, and volunteering with her Jain community.

“Bollywood” is the name given to the Indian film/music industry, the largest movie production industry in the world. The dance form combines Folk, Classical, Garba, Bhangra, Hip-Hop, and Modern styles of dance. Most Indian movies have several Bollywood song/dance sequences, much like a musical.
Today, Bollywood dance is a popular style being performed at a variety of pop culture platforms such as “So You Think You Can Dance,” and “America’s Got Talent.” Bollywood dancing is the highlight of any Indian wedding as well as Indian festivals and holidays. Rangeela, Hindi for “colorful,” sums up Bollywood dance – vibrant, eclectic and filled with emotion.
