Nitika Arora

Instructor

Nitika’s dance journey started over 20 years ago and rests on her classical training in the Lucknow gharana of Kathak. Throughout highschool Nitika choreographed Bollywood dances for cultural functions, while she trained under her Kathak gurus. In college she danced with Middlebury College’s Riddim World Dance Troupe, where she fell in love with a myriad of styles including contemporary, hip hop, and jazz. Most recently Nitika danced with Studio Azul’s Sabrosa Dance Company for two seasons, where she was exposed to Salsa and Bachata. South Asian styles of dance are where Nitika feels simultaneously most at home and most free.
