About Shraddha:
” Hello! My name is Shraddha and I am a professional Dancer, Choreographer and a Mental Health therapist. I would like to share some insights about my journey in dance and where I am with it currently and how I want to move forward and grow with the same.
I am a classically trained (Bharatnatyam) dancer since the age of 5 years and currently training myself in Kathak. As a child, I used follow dancers and their moves on screen or around me and that’s how my family knew that I am keen and excited to dance. As I grew older, my family enrolled me into classical dancing as they believed I had talent that could be enhanced with proper training and attention. As I grew up, I realized that I love teaching dance just the way I love doing it myself and I started taking up wedding choreographies, choreographies for kids for school performances, later for college fests and competitions and eventually started my journey as a choreographer at the age of 17. I have had a part- time and full-time job as a choreographer when I was in Mumbai and worked in a well-known Dance Academy in Bandra, Mumbai for about 2-3 years that allowed me to teach dance to various age groups. I believe I am not only a dancer but also a performer and I have been a part of various stage shows since childhood. I think learning is a continuous process and no matter how much experience I gain, my journey of learning more will never stop, Therefore, I always keep looking for more opportunities to learn and improve myself in dancing and be in touch with dancing in some or the other way. Lastly, I feel that ‘No matter wherever I go, Dance always follows me, and I follow it back.’ “
We ask that all participants arrive 5 MINUTES prior to class.
