Vivek Mukundan

Choreographer 

I’ve been passionate about dance ever since I was a kid and started participating and performing on stage during middle school and high school. Growing up in the 90s, the passion came from watching & enjoying Bollywood and South Indian movies which led to dancing to all the famous tunes, learning hook steps and mirroring your favorite actors.
I started to take dance seriously during my Undergraduate studies when I got selected to join the Hip Hop team. Since then and for the following years, I was involved in all activities related to dance (choreography, instructor, event organizing, etc.), even during my Masters program in ASU and following that as well.
Due to some personal struggles, I have not been associated with much dance in the past few years. But thanks to the recent RDC workshops in Phoenix and a chance to be part of the team, I’ve been motivated to get back into the groove and familiarize myself with all things dance, once again.
