Anushri Marar

Choreographer

My name is Anushri Marar, a 25 year old software engineer who moved from Florida to Seattle about 2 years ago. My dance journey started when I was 5. I learned my foundations through Bharatanatyam, and I eventually completed my arangetram in 2013. While I take those core skills with me wherever I go, over the years I have tried to expand and learn as many dance forms as possible. Throughout my schooling, my friends and I did many Bollywood gigs in our community. In college, I joined the raas team, where I danced at RAS Nationals in 2019. Once I moved to Seattle in August 2021, I started to take hip hop lessons and I’ve also attended a handful of Rangeela classes.

I have been encouraged by many to audition for Rangeela, including Sowmya, Manju, and Arushi. Apart from the beautiful videos and energetic classes you put out, the sense of community that they find in this company is what I am most looking forward to!
