Janhavi Bhagvat

Choreographer

I am trained in Bollywood/Jazz/Contemporary with Shiamak davar’s Institute of Performing Arts for ~9 years and was part of their Junior dance company as well as advanced training program. While I was there, I performed various stage shows.

I was a lead dancer in my undergrad college dance team and represented won multiple competitions

I took a break from serious dancing when I moved to the US for my higher education in 2011, and resumed in 2016 by joining Pratidhwani and performing in their first major theatre/musical production in Seattle’s reputed ACT theater – Chitrangada.

Since then, I was part of various Pratidhwani events and in 2018, I played the lead role in their flagship show – Justice for Julie. This required me to dance as well as learn how to act. 

I have also collaborated with friends and contemporaries in the local dance community (including RDC dancers) to create video content.
